General Safety Rules

• Never leave a burning candle unattended
• Do not burn near flammable objects, such as curtains, lampshades, or blankets
• Burn only on heat resistant surfaces - they can become hot enough to damage furniture
• Do not move a burning candle
• Place your candle in an area free from drafts
• Keep wicks trimmed to 1/4" to avoid excess smoking and "mushrooming"
• Keep melt pool clear of any debris (i.e., wick clippings)
• Do not burn if container is cracked
• Discontinue burning when less than 1/2" of wax remains  (TIP:  place remaining wax on a candle-approved warming plate to enjoy the remaining fragrance)

 

Jar Candle Safety & Burning Instructions

• Before lighting candle, remove any excess packaging (bows, ribbons, hang tags, etc)
• Follow ALL above general safety rules
• For best fragrance results, allow candle to burn one hour per inch of diameter to achieve a full melt pool.  If you don't get a full melt pool the first time, relax, it'll catch up on consecutive burns.  :)
• To recycle jar for other purposes once candle is used, heat jar on a candle-approved warming plate.  Allow remaining wax to melt, wipe out excess with a paper towel, and wash jar with soap and water.

Wickless Candle Burning & Safety Instructions

• Before placing wickless candle on a candle-approved warming unit, remove lid and any excess packaging (ribbons, bow, hang tags, etc)
• If applicable, remove warning label from bottom of jar prior to heating candle
• Keep warmer out of the reach from children and pets
• NEVER leave a wickless candle unattended - there's no flame, but you are using an electrical appliance
• When fragrance has completely dissipated, dispose of container...OR...heat candle on warming unit, safely pour melted wax into a disposable container, wipe out excess wax with a paper towel, and wash empty container with soap and water - now you have a reusable container for other purposes

Melts, Minis, & Break-a-Way Burning & Safety Instructions

• Remove and discard any packaging
• Place melts in approved tart burner of your choice (DO NOT USE THESE MELTS IN POTPOURRI CROCKPOTS)
• Keep warming unit out of the reach of pets and children
• When fragrance is gone, allow wax to harden, place unit in freezer for 5 mintues, pop wax out, and discard.  Replace with another melt!
